Premix Tank Feeding
This is the most straightforward and common way that many growers will use today. It involves using a reservoir of water and premixing with nutrients to directly feed to the plants. Examples of this type of system would be Ebb & Flow, Flood and Drain, DWC/RDWC, and any other system where you premix your nutrients with your water into a reservoir, and use that solution to feed to the plants (usually with a pump). This includes hand watering as well.
2
- Use standard Feeding Calculator to calculate amounts of nutrients to add
- Follow Step 1, enter in the total amount of water in Liters or Gallons
- Follow Step 2, choose your measurement type
- Now look at the bottom chart, and view the stage of plant growth you are on. This will give you the proper dosage amount to feed your plants!
- If you are using optional supplements, you can use the Supplement Feeding Calculator page to also find those dosages.
1
- Fill your reservoir/tank/system with the required amount of water
- For DWC/RDWC, fill your containers/system to the desired water level
- For Ebb & Flow, Autopots, Flood and Drain systems, fill your main water tank to the desired water level.
- All other systems the same, fill tank/container to needed water level.
3
- Combine all the powder fertilizer amounts according to Step 2
- Slowly dump the powder into the water, and mix in by hand stirring or pump
- Fertilizer should be completely dissolved in 5 minutes.
- (optional pH balance) Wait 30 minutes for solution to stabilize and mix well, then adjust pH between 5.5 – 6.5 range.
Fertilizer Injector Feeding
Fertilizer Injector feeding is useful for large farms and greenhouses as a way to automate nutrient feeding in an easy and efficient manner. This method works by mixing a concentrated solution into a tank, then using a special device called a fertilizer injector to mix precise amounts of nutrients and water. The end result for the plants is that they receive a perfect uniform and consistent solution that is ideal for growth, with minimal work from the farmer. We recommend Chemilizer brand injectors, but any brand can be used (Dosmatic, etc…)

- Mega Crop can be used at 100x (1%) concentration and beyond!
- Since Mega Crop has so many different ingredients, at high concentrations the mix may settle into layers. Normal fertilizer injector setups use between 1-3 ingredients per tank only! Its recommend to circulate the water during injector use either by hand, or by using an automated circulation pump so everything is evenly mixed.
